Bold and the Beautiful

Bold & Beautiful Just Put Three Psychos On A Collision Course With Steffy — Plus, Grade This Week’s Episodes!

Bold Beautiful mashup remy sheila luna

This was another week of Bold & Beautiful slow burn, with everything building toward two big Friday moments… neither of which was a surprise and one of which didn’t even happen! The previews for the week showed Remy and Luna crossing, while Finn’s confession was stalled before he could get to the good part!

Finn Finally (Almost) Tells Steffy

There were points over the past two weeks during which Bold & Beautiful played like a parody of a soap. I mean, how many times did Finn say — whether aloud or in his head — “How am I going to tell Steffy that Luna is my daughter?” Often enough that it needs to be incorporated into our Soap Opera Drinking Game. Finally, he started to come clean in Friday’s episode, by which point I’d begun to repeatedly ask a question of my own: Why is this such a big deal?

B&B Steffy Finn

I get that Luna tried to kill Steffy, but as far as she (or anyone else) knows, Finn’s daughter is behind bars and will be for the rest of her life. Now, if Steffy knew that Luna was missing, this revelation might matter. But nobody knows the young woman is hanging out at Bill’s Home for Wayward Girls. So honestly, Steffy’s reaction should be something along the lines of, “Whew, glad she’s not going to be part of our lives!”

What Did You Think of This Week’s Bold & Beautiful Episodes?

Remy Sheila B&B

For me, the far more interesting development will come when Sheila finds out about Finn’s latest offspring. With Sheila having now bonded with Remy, who has uncovered the truth about Luna’s location, it’s only a matter of time before the pieces fall into place and the three of them are planning… well, I’m not sure exactly what, but I doubt it’ll be a picnic!

Elsewhere…

Brooke Ridge B&B

• I absolutely hate to say this, but Brooke… you’re pathetic. There is not a single reason for you to stand there begging Ridge to take you back. If anything, he should apologize to you… and you should reject him soundly. I don’t know how we’re supposed to care about either of them, given that he’s behaving like an untrained baboon and she’s ready to buy a banana factory if it’ll bring him home.

• I can’t begin to understand why Luna came traipsing into Bill’s living room to chat with Remy. Like so many other recent developments on this show, it’s nothing but a plot point which doesn’t actually make any sense whatsoever.

• We finally got at least a glimpse of the real Bill when he gruffly issued instructions to Remy. God, I’ve missed him!

Hope Carter B&B

• Sometimes, it feels as if the writers craft dialogue without a care in the world to whether it rings true. This week, Steffy said, “Hope has everything she’s ever wanted. Clout, money, control, a powerful man under her spell.” Um… yeah, Hope has never wanted any of those things. And not for nothing, but she was born into money.

• Why do people keep saying they won’t “answer” to Hope? Far as I can tell, she’s not even got a job title other than being the head of Hope For the Future. Brooke is CEO, Steffy’s president, Carter is COO. Hope is… Carter’s girlfriend?
