Former DAYS Star Casey Deidrick Arrested for Domestic Dispute

Actor Casey Deidrick was arrested on Feb. 2 after an alleged domestic violence incident involving his girlfriend at their home in Nashville, TN. According to TMZ, Deidrick was taken into custody after allegedly assaulting his girlfriend and snatching her phone.
Deidrick — best known to soap viewers for playing Chad on Days of Our Lives — told the police that he and his girlfriend got into a heated argument at their home. Believing she was secretly recording their fight with her mobile phone, he grabbed it from her. TMZ reports that the actor claimed his girlfriend had wrapped her hands around his neck, but the officers found no evidence to support his claim.
Per the arrest warrant, Deidrick’s partner confirmed they were arguing but denied recording him. In her statement to the police, she stated that she was cowering in a corner of the kitchen with her phone when Deidrick came up behind her, got her into a bear hug, and snatched her phone out of her hand. Fearing for her safety, she demanded her phone back so she could call the police. It was only after his partner agreed to move out of the house they shared that same day that Deidrick handed her phone back to her.

Deidrick was charged with domestic assault and interference with an emergency call. After posting a $2,500 bond, he was released from the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office in the early hours of Feb. 3. His hearing is scheduled for Feb. 24, reports Entertainment Weekly.
As DAYS viewers will recall, Deidrick created the role of Chad DiMera in 2009, playing the character until he was shot and written out of the soap in 2013. (The role was recast with Billy Flynn the following year.) Post-daytime, Deidrick went on to appear on MTV’s Eye Candy and Teen Wolf, starred in The CW’s crime drama In The Dark, and the first season of Driven for streaming site Passionflix. He also headlined two movies for Hallmark Channel, the highly-rated Christmas film A Very Merry Bridesmaid in 2021 and Wedding Season in 2023. Next, Deidrick can be seen in the indie films Portal to Hell and The Iron Door.
