R.I.P., Liam? A Single Bold & Beautiful Death Would Rock the Whole Show

Down… for the Count?
In the April 3 episode of The Bold and the Beautiful (recapped here), Liam Spencer collapsed after a massive fight with dad Bill. If Emmy winner Scott Clifton’s character was to — gulp — die, virtually the entire show would be impacted. Here’s how.

A Father’s Grief
Considering that it was Bill’s nonsensical freeing of murderess Luna Nozawa that started his argument with Liam, he’d feel hella guilty about his son’s passing. In a way, Bill would have no choice but to see himself through tear-stained eyes as Liam’s executioner.

The Ex Factor
Liam’s former wife Steffy Forrester didn’t want him back (this week) but still maintained that he was a great father to their daughter Kelly. She’s be devastated to lose the coparent on whom she also relies as a confidant and occasional kissing bandit.

One Wife to Love
Liam’s other ex, Hope Logan, has hit rock bottom now that she’s dumped boyfriend Carter Walton and lost her job (again). She’d naturally have turned to Beth’s father for support. Only if he perished, he wouldn’t be around to give it. D’oh!

Oh, Brother!
Liam’s untimely demise could be the only thing that would entice his half brother Wyatt to return to the madness that never fails to swirl around their mercurial father. Here’s hoping that Wyatt wouldn’t come back with “Felony Flo” Fulton in tow, though.

That’s One Problem Solved
Considering how ticked Liam was that Bill gave Luna a Get Out of Jail Free card, the remorseless killer would do a happy dance at the thought of there being one less person in L.A. who hates her guts. Just four million more to go!

Cold Comfort
Since Sheila Carter’s lies about Luna are sure to send her marriage to Deacon Sharpe to divorce court, the madwoman might make an overture to grieving ex-“fiancé” Bill, whose loss she’d understand. After all, she shot her son, Finn!

A Heart Re-Broken
Katie Logan would mourn Liam’s passing not only because he was one of the only things that helped her keep her former spouse Bill on the semi-straight and sorta narrow but because he was potentially going to be her next love interest.

Little Brother, Big Sadness
Liam’s younger sib Will no longer needs a wingman now that he’s with Electra Forrester. But the Forrester Creations intern sure could use Liam to smack enough sense into him that he wouldn’t even consider having sex with Luna!

A Lifetime of What Ifs
Ivy Forrester would end up kicking herself if Liam died. She’d been back in L.A. for months and never bothered to let the one that got away know that she was there — and as enamored of him as ever. Were we supposed to dial his number for her?

Mamma-in-Law Mia-in-Law
Brooke Logan would have to put aside her aggravation with daughter Hope to comfort her as she grieves the ex who dumped her over a kiss with Thomas Forrester. Honestly, we also always thought Brooke and Liam would hook up someday.

‘I’m Listening’
Should Liam cross over, we might actually see world-renowned shrink Taylor Hayes treat a patient or two. They’d all be grieving relatives, but still. It would be nice to know that she occasionally has to show up at the office like the rest of us.

Long Live Liam
Of course, at the end of the day, we suspect Liam is likely to pull through. The show wouldn’t have had him realize what a mess his waffling had made of his life not to take advantage of that, would it?
